When you commission art you have some important options. You can choose your style, colours, media and size.

Style is highly subjective, your choice lies in texture, subject and previous paintings. If you want to commission art from me then you probably like the art I have done in the past so if you like a specific painting then I can do one for you of a similar style, I tend not to copy a past work as I feel that it inhibits the creativity which makes a good piece of art and it takes away from the uniqueness of each piece.

There are four basic media options to choose from. These are:

Acrylic paint on canvas; the majority of the work shown on this site is in this medium as it offers both versatility and fast drying times compared to Oil paint

Oil paint on canvas; offers a slightly different finish from acrylic paint and the slow drying allows some more detailed work. Generally take a long time to dry and to paint.

Acrylic paint on board; is ideal for corridors or areas with little width as a thin ply is the normal choice of board

Charcoal on canvas; gives a very earthy and raw look but can be very striking.

Other media are open to discussion, including oil pastels, work on paper and framed work. Although these have no guide price when it comes to working the price out you should still end up with good value.
